Looking for a dog-friendly park in Bowral, NSW? Look no further than Retford Park! This beautiful park boasts wide open spaces and stunning gardens that you and your furry friend can explore together.  Every August, Retford Park hosts International Dog Day.

As you make your way up the driveway, you'll be greeted by two stone dog statues, a nod to the park's former owner's love of dogs. The gardens around the homestead are a sight to behold, with a knot garden, orchard, swimming pool, pavilion, and sculptures. As you continue to explore, you'll come across a magnificent collection of rare and unique trees, as well as the Millennium Canal, a favourite spot for leashed  dogs to explore. With something blooming in every season, Retford Park is the perfect spot for a picnic and a day out with your furry friend.

Bowral is home to several beautiful parks and gardens that are perfect for exploring with your furry friend. One of the most popular is the Corbett Gardens, which features stunning floral displays and plenty of space for your leashed dog to walk around. Go on a Scenic Drive Through the Southern Highlands.

One of the best ways to explore Bowral and the surrounding areas with your furry friend is by taking a scenic drive through the Southern Highlands. The region is known for its stunning landscapes, rolling hills, and charming towns. Some popular routes include the Berrima Heritage Trail, which takes you through the historic town of Berrima, and the Kangaroo Valley Tourist Drive, which offers breathtaking views of the valley and its surrounding mountains. 

Check out the General store at Kangaroo valley for coffee or lunch, seating is available outside for you and your dog.

While many pet friendly places in the Southern Highlands will have a water station or drinking bowl,  be sure to pack plenty of water and snacks for your pet, and make frequent stops to stretch your legs and take in the scenery.
